Christmas Blanket FAQs
What size Christmas blanket should I get for the couch?
A 50 by 60 inch throw is the standard couch size — it covers one person generously or two people snuggled up, and nine of the ten picks here are exactly that size. The Touchat plaid throw runs larger at 60 by 70 inches if you want full two-person coverage.
Sherpa, fleece, or flannel — which is warmest?
Sherpa-backed throws tend to feel warmest because the fuzzy sherpa side traps heat, while plain fleece and flannel throws are lighter and better for layering. For the coldest nights, the heated Sunbeam throw on this list adds adjustable heat settings on top of the fleece.
Are these Christmas blankets machine washable?
Most fleece, flannel, and sherpa throws on this list are machine washable — check each listing's care instructions before ordering, and wash sherpa separately on a gentle cycle to keep it fluffy.
Can a Christmas blanket work all winter, not just at Christmas?
Yes — plaid, snowflake, and deer patterns read as winter decor long after the tree comes down, so the buffalo plaid and snowflake picks here stay out through January and February.
